New R2R Pro DAC

Its in the name of the product, FiiO's newly upgraded custom DAC goes beyond the capabilities of FiiO's other R2R dacs. R2R Pro DAC uses an upgraded 24 + 5 bit segmented resistor array to improve performance and reduce distortion. It is a better version of what makes FiiO R2R dacs so popular, with the warm, natural smooth tone that is so pleasant with all genres and easy to listen to for hours.

Inside you will find 3 individual boards, as in the K17, to separate the functions of analog, digital and power supply, reducing vibrations and preventing each function from interfering with the other. 

Flexible, Lossless 31 Band EQ

Connect to a computer and access the full power of the 31 band Lossless PEQ - Parametric EQ. Housed on an internal DSP chip, you have a powerful tool to make the most subtle or significant adjustments , with almost unlimited flexibility, allowing you to fine tune the output just the way your system demands. 

Powerful Class AB Headphone Amplifier

K17 R2R uses the same Class AB headphone amp, with up to 4000mW of output power from the balanced 4.4mm or XLR headphone outputs. The amp is a fully discrete design, able to provide high current output to control difficult driver loads, as well as low output impedance, so it will not alter the frequency response of low impedance headphones - like some 8 or 12 ohm planar magnetic designs.

Perfect for someone with a variety headphones, use the front gain adjust knob to quickly find the best match for each headphone. With 5 gain levels, L / M / H / SH / UH there is a perfect match for every headphone.

As seen in the photo below, the amplifier section benefits from ample heatsinks, to keep the temps down and the unit operating well within its prime zone. 

Parts quality is high, with gold plated connectors, silver plated oxygen-free copper internal cables and high end brand name capacitors used throughout.

Big Touchscreen for Easy Controls

The 4" colour touchscreen is a delight to use. Swipe right from the middle to bring up the menu, with options galore. Use the 'Menu' dial to select the source. Change colours, graphics themes, vu meter style, the lighting around the volume and menu dials and more. 

The second dial from the left selects the output, for Line Out (full volume signal from RCA or XLR), Preout (volume controlled), PO (Headphone Out) or both Headphone and Pre out at the same time.

The remote has been upgraded to an aluminum housing, for a sleek looking remote that will hold up to daily wear for many years. 

Extensive Connectivity

The analog input can be used with the built in EQ, since it goes through a high end ADC convertor, allowing you to make full use of the EQ.
