Who Is the FiiO GIGAS 1 For? 

GIGAS 1 headphone was designed for Planar Magnetic headphone and higher impedance models. FiiO's JT7 headphone has been incredibly popular but it is less efficient than most, so it required more amplifier power to reach a comfortable listening level while retaining headroom. 

Since the JT7 is affordable at $160, FiiO wanted a quality low cost headphone amp people can easily add to the JT7 and hear them perform at their best! Mission Accomplished! 

GIGAS 1 is an all analog amp,  with two inputs - rca & 3.5mm - and two outputs - 3.5mm & 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs. Amp design is a Class AB, a discrete amplification circuit, it utilizes an op-amp + transistor current-amplification design to achieve low noise, high power and reliable long term operation at a low cost. Its tuning has been designed to be an excellent match with FiiO and other brand's planar magnetic headphones. 

Since many electronics are powered by USB now and most people have multiple usb charger options already, a power supply is not included. Please provide a 5v power supply for basic operation, or a 12v PD (Power Delivery standard) for the higher power output, up to 4600mW of power from the 4.4mm balanced output. 

For Planar Magnetic or higher impedance headphones, we recommend the 12v power supply for the best performance. 

**Power output varies, depending if you provide a 5v or a 12v PD (Power Delivery) power supply. For IEMs a 5v usb power supply will be sufficient. For more power from the GIGAS1 and to reach the 4600mW output level, use a PD 12v power supply, perfect for planar magnetic or higher impedance headphones. 

Balanced Headphone Amp

Ready to use with headphone with 3.5mm plug and with balanced headphone cables with a 4.4mm plug. For headphones with 6.35mm plug, use a step down adaptor to 3.5mm and for XLR plug headphone cables, use a step down adaptor, XLR - 4.4mm. 

A Low / High gain switch is on the front side, ideal for switching between IEM's on low and headphones on high. The XL volume dial on top has back lighting for a cool effect. 

All Analog Headphone Amp

Inputs are analog only, to keep the cost way down, so ideally connect from a dac, portable dongle dac or the coming soon super affordable option, a FiiO Trust usb-c to Dual RCA cable. This cable has the dac built in, to easily go from computer or phone with no other devices needed!
