FiiO FX15 Dynamic BA Electrostatic Tribrid IEM. Tridrid IEM's are a blend of three driver types, dynamic for bass, BA for mids and electrostatic for the highs. Each of these driver types is operating in its ideal range - Dynamic are best for bass, BA are incredible for vocals & mids while electrostatics produce detail and clarity in the highs that is almost impossible to find in other driver types. Therefore, this has become a popular 'Goldilocks' design - when implemented correctly, you get incredible sound, like from these FX15's.

The electrostatic driver, which is familiar with veteran audiophiles, is one of the must-have drivers for high-end earphones. Electrostatic drivers are known for their high-frequency detail reproduction, but such drivers are usually used in multi-thousand dollar IEMs, which can be harder to justify for many audiophiles.

FiiO FX15 employs 4 electrostatic drivers per channel that not only provide exceptional ultra-high frequency extension, but are exceptionally quick and able to reproduce every last detail in your music, giving the listener a taste of true high-end audio.

The delicacy and finite detail these bring out are consistently inspiring, letting you hear aspects of familiar music that you could never clearly hear previously. There are tiny, lovely, layers of detail presented to you effortlessly. Big win!

The bass driver is a 10mm DLC coated (Diamond Like Coating) driver, in a complex shell space to maximize its performance. FiiO used their 'S-Turbo' acoustic design, a long low frequency sound tube inside the shell that filters out higher frequencies, for better performance and to more cleanly blend into the midrange drivers, for a clean sound transition. 

The midrange driver is a Knowles unit, chosen for its more lush, warm response that enhances vocals. With the electrostatic drivers present, this driver does not need to have ultimate high frequency extension, so it smooth mids and lower treble make it a great match for both the low and high drivers here. Each driver mastering its frequency range, blending smoothly into the other drivers.

Outstanding Build Quality

In terms of the craftsmanship, FIIO cooperated with HeyGears to create a shell that features both excellent comfort and durability, so you can fully enjoy the highly resolving electrostatic Tribrid IEM. The finish is spectacular, with lovely clarity and clear details visible in the housing. 

FiiO FX15’s shell is made using the advanced 3D printing method with printing accuracy down to an incredible 0.0375mm! - ensuring that each shell is a perfect reproduction of our original design, molded to ensure highly consistent sound between every unit made, as well as great comfort and excellent durability. These are easy to wear for hours on end and are light weight, since they are not in a metal housing.

Have it your way with the 'Instant A/B testing switch'! There is a manual switch on each IEM body so you can defeat the electrostatic tweeters is you'd like. With some extremely bright music, you may want to use this to dull the highs, but we always want them active. Its nice to have a choice and it does let you A/B test with and without the drivers active so you can hear what they add to the mix.

The graphic design on the outside of the Tribrid IEM is a new interpretation of the theme. This time, to visually represent its capabilities, the FX15 features a design that embodies thin harmony.  The golden gingko leaves imposed on the FX15 shell cover serve as a visual reminder of its brilliant and vivid sound that is waiting to be enjoyed within.

As seen above, the cable is gorgeous, made of 228 pure silver wires, woven into 8 strands. The cable remains supple and is resistant to yellowing and hardening over time, due to the high quality materials used.

Both a 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced swappable plug are included so it is ready to be used with any DAP or portable dac, no adaptors required and no need to buy a new cable. 

Pro Tip: In our experience the FX15 provide incredible detail. To get the most out of them and truly enjoy their incredible clarity, we suggest to pair them with an amazing dongle dac like the QX13 or the new 2026 flagship portable DAP, FiiO M27.
