FiiO FD3 IEM, Dynamic Driver audiophile wired earphones. The FD3 is a vented design IEM based around a single, high performance, extra large size dynamic driver.
The 12mm XL diaphragm of the FD3 is made of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) which is both impressively rigid, which helps to reduce unneeded distortion and vibration, yet also surprisingly light.
DLC Dynamic Driver Outperforms!
Inside the striking shell lies a very high tech driver with serious engineering chops behind its performance! There is a robust magnet of 1.5 Tesla magnetic flux paired with an ultra-fine copper-clad aluminum Japanese Daikoku voice coil for an amazing, powerful sound.
The design used in the flagship FD5 for great sound quality has trickled down in this case, with a similar concept featured in the FD3. Like with the FD5, the acoustic prism system helps to effectively solve the problem of time delay caused by sound wave propagation path in the cavity.
In addition, the semi-open, vented design based on FiiO's patented technology for balanced air pressure, leads to a more natural sound and extended comfort, even for long-time listening sessions.
Two types of sound nozzles to try!
As seen below, FiiO FD3 has also been designed with interchangeable sound nozzles. These are user swappable, with two options included, to provide you with two tunings to choose from - a perfect option to have when buying IEM's online!
FiiO FD3 has also been designed with a hidden venting system. It is a semi-open design, with sound tubes hidden just behind the cable connection. This leads to a more natural sound and also effectively helps protect your ears, by balancing the air pressure within the IEM, leading to reduced pressure on the ear drums!
A great looking 1.2m cable is included, with mmcx connectors, a durable 3.5mm right angled plug and twisted, braided copper wires.
