The Beautiful Sound of EL34 Tubes

The EA13 was designed around the magic midrange that the EL34 tubes are renowned for - the lush, clear, full tone in the mids that is universally praised. Designed in a push-pull Class-A output, with up to 28 watts per channel, the EA13 is no 4watt flea amp - it provides usable power to make most bookshelf and select floor standing speakers, absolutely come alive.

EA13 is an all analog amp, with no dac or bluetooth in sight. 4 pair of analog RCA inputs, operating in pentode mode and pure Class-A, so distortion is effectively minimized. 6 imported tubes are used: for Preamp stage, 2 Sylvania NOS vintage PCF80 tubes, maximize the soundstage and transparency.

For the Power section, 4 Czech JJ Electronics EL34 classic European power tubes, provide the warm, full, powerful character that people have loved for decades. 

Backlit Analog Mechanical VU Meters

These are the real deal - LED Backlit, true Mechanical VU-Meters that move to the music. A classic warm retro look that helps create a music vibe with a delightful twist - it adds the sense of sight in the connection to the music as it plays! 

To finish the look, the tubes are backlight as well, to enhance the warm image. The input and volume dials are also backlit, with the option to select various colours and even to turn the lighting off for the dials and vu-meters. 

Tubes are recess mounted into the chassis (see the photo section) for a slick appearance with the tube cage removed. Chassis is smartly vented all around and includes vibration damping feet. 

Quality Output Transformer

FiiO went to town on the quality of the low noise, output transformer, using EI silicone steel laminate, then filled with resin and fine sand, sealed in a heavy-duty transformer enclosure, all to supress vibration, improving audio quality through the rest of the amp.

EA13 uses a high quality volume potentiometer, to retain the natural, precise analog sound. The amp has a 30 minute auto off power saving mode, when it senses no incoming signal for 30 minutes.
