Discrete design class-AB headphone amp

FiiO K15 applies the same highly acclaimed discrete headphone amplifier circuit as the K17, designed to deliver high current and low impedance output for awesome results with a the widest range of dynamic and planar magnetic headphones. 

This discrete circuit can achieve stonking balanced output power to 3000mW, allowing the DAC to effortlessly drive high impedance, or low sensitivity design headphones - producing smooth, natural, yet melodious sound.

Can FiiO K15 Drive High Impedance Headphones?

Yes it can - in our experience, use the DAC with your 250 ohm Beyerdynamic and 300 ohm Sennheiser headphones - the Audio Technica R70x at 470 ohm also sound excellent with the K15. It has the power and headroom to comfortably drive these headphones so you can experience everything they have to give! 

K15 also has enough current to drive Audeze and Hifiman planars easily. You will hear a full and fast, clear powerful drive with this DAC.

The first with AKM’s premium DAC AK4497S

FiiO K15 is among the first to use two of the new high-end AKM DAC chips, AK4479SVQ, featuring the upgraded ‘VELVET SOUND’ audio technology. The chips achieve low distortion, a wide dynamic range, and extended signal bandwidth, all at low power consumption.

Rich detail is retained in both low and high frequencies for a natural and immersive sound experience. The DAC is a high end application in a mid range priced all in one unit, for simply killer long term value!

FiiO K15 is oh so versatile

It can be used with a computer as a DAC / Headphone Amp. Use its front usb-c input for ipads and phones as portable sources. Use the Bluetooth in / out in a variety of ways. Digital inputs on the rear, with XLR and rca line out to connect to powered speakers or a home stereo.

Use the built in 4" colour screen, with UV meters and real time info on the music you are playing - or are streaming. Connect by ethernet or wifi - Airplay is built in as well as ROON READY - perfect for streaming anything through ROON.

The app is full featured and has a 10 band Parametric EQ, so you can adjust or fine tune the audio bands exactly the way you like!  (see image below for the computer EQ interface).

Firmware Updates = FiiO K15 Keeps Improving!

FiiO has been busy since launching the DAC, with firmware updates. Many features have been added, with more themes, VU Meter options, graphic upgrades and usage features added through several upgrades in the fall & winter of 2025! FiiO K15 keeps getting better!
