FiiO Warmer R2R DAC & Tube Buffer is a DAC that has been designed to add a warmth and smoothness to the sound of your audio system, due to its two primary sonic components - the R2R DAC and the tube stage. Both technologies tend towards a 'Warmer' sound profile and this retro-modern DAC definitely adds some analog soul to the music. Connect it to a home stereo, a desktop headphone system or a set of powered speakers. With three digital inputs & RCA & XLR line out, its super flexible.

R2R DAC + Rich Tube Sound Quality

Powering the tube buffer stage of the Warmer R2R are four brand-new JJ Electronic E88CC valves imported from Slovakia. The tubes are powered by a ±28V power supply and feature a long-lasting service life of 10000 hours. The core circuitry of the classic tube buffer preamplifier has been optimized to impart a sweet, organic tube flavor, giving your music a delightful richness and fullness.

The Warmer R2R DAC introduces FIIO’s proprietary, in house desgined, four-way fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC, built with a total of 192 high-precision thin-film resistors (48 per channel) boasting 0.1% accuracy and an ultra-low drift of 30ppm.

This R2R DAC gives the Warmer R2R its distinctly captivating sound signature. It even doubles the fun by providing the choice of both the NOS (non-oversampling) mode and OS (oversampling mode) mode. The NOS mode in DACs has a great reputation with audiophiles, since it avoids digital filters and is said to have a pure, natural feel to the sound.

Retro Chic Glowing VU Meters

The retro warm-hued backlit VU meter built in the Warmer R2R is powered by a dedicated IC. When the music sounds, the meter moves in sync, with the fun to watch vintage glow of the Mechanical VU Meter that everyone enjoys while listening to their music. It is also an extremely mature and well executed design element on a compact DAC that is so affordable.

Oversized Linear Toroidal Power Supply

FiiO Warmer R2R uses a 46W low-noise, low-frequency toroidal audio linear transformer as its interior power supply. Toroidal transformers have advantages for hifi use: the toroidal core strips provides high efficiency and low eddy current loss, while the corner-free coils result in a more uniform magnetic field and less leakage.

Thanks to this power supply, the tube buffer is fed clean power that allows it to produce pristine, immaculate sound through both the RCA and the balanced XLR outputs on the rear panel.

These outputs allow you to connect to almost any home stereo, preamp, powered speakers or headphone amp on the market and the 2 in 1 unit, DAC + tubes, can add some analog magic into your system!

PRO TIP - There is no volume control here, its full line out (100% volume) only. It must be connected to an integrated amp, headphone amp or powered speakers that have a volume control.
