Custom Made Planar Magnetic Driver

Fiio JT7 uses a driver with an extremely thin and lightweight material, a thickness of only 3 microns!. This design allows it to reach sound performance goals normally beyond its price class, with extremely fast, responsive quality that allow JT7 to produce such a vivid, clear and accurate audio reproduction. 

You will experience the surprising level of clarity and clean, precise revealing of tiny details through the mids and highs that are rarely heard from a headphone in this price range.

The headphone features the proprietary F.E.S. (FIIO Elastic System) design on the driver diaphragm, with various textures on that surface that increase elasticity. Compared to other, less elastic, planar drivers, this innovation allows the driver to move even more freely without added distortion. The result is effortless, enhanced bass with a greater presence than often found in similar planar models.

The manufacturing process is derived from the high-precision plating used in the semiconductor industry - which enables the voice coil and diaphragm to be seamlessly integrated as one piece. This not only yields extremely fine coil wiring but also significantly boosts the coil's structural integrity and longevity.

Lightweight Folding Design!

Tipping the scales at just 318g, the JT7 is thoroughly unlike typical planar headphones (that are usually much heavier), allowing you to more easily enjoy long listening sessions. The user-friendly foldable design allows you to easily fold the headphones down, letting you easily put them away at home or allowing you to carry them when traveling.

For long term wear, especially for people using them for 4-6 hours per day, for work from home use or extending mixing or gaming, this lighter weight also helps make them a great daily wear experience.

Two cables are included, with 3.5mm SE plug and the 2nd cable with a BAL 4.4mm plug, for easy compatibility with devices. Earpads and headband pads are replaceable and the hinge components are made of high strength fiberglass. 

Pro Tip - In our early experience with using this headphone, we are liking them with our more powerful portable dacs - the KA13 is lots of fun - its low cost and offers some extra drive thanks to its Desktop Mode! 

Also the KA17 (its awesome with optional EStick actually) and BTR17. Since the JT7 sensitivity is lower than something like the FT1, we suggest adding a bit of power eventually for home use, just like our uber-popular desktop dacs, the K11  or the awesome K13 R2R. 

You can always pick up items in stages and enjoy the improvements bit by bit, but those are some great models to start looking at.
